Supporting Creators In Our Community During The Lockdowns

Last month things began to get... complicated. For many countries, March was the start of the lockdown, which unfortunately meant the start of a lot of uncertainty. Even with government programs going ahead in the coming weeks targeted at those who are employed, furloughed, working from home, self-employed, or even unemployed, no program is perfect and for large sections of society that still means cuts. Throughout this pandemic, life is still going on, there's still food to buy and rent to pay, and with the increase in electricity and gas bills with home-working, getting by is... well, getting tough.

A few weeks ago, we posted a list of international events that were forced to cancel or reschedule due to safety concerns. For a lot of artists especially, this is their main way to showcase their work, to fund their craft, and more importantly to survive.

As someone whose work was also impacted by unexpected cancellations, I know how rough it can be financially right now, so a little while ago I asked if other community members were impacted by the pandemic and how we can help. This could be artists with open commissions, online store owners who are unable to get a booth at a show, anything! If you're working on a project and looking to make it that little bit extra special, please check out the incredible people below!
If you're looking to support fellow Tomb Raider fans, we wrote an article just after our launch about our favourite inexpensive but lovingly created homemade, Tomb Raider-inspired items. If you haven't yet, make sure to check out that article and those lovely stores!

(If you're an artist who is currently looking for work, let us know and we'll be happy to include you too!)

KaraCroft

In addition to being a Twitch streamer, KaraCroft (also known by her username Kara_Croft91) is an artist specializing in personalized chat emojis! If you have an online community of your own, you may want to take a look at her portfolio below, as her work is perfect for those community in-jokes or to make your channel that little bit extra special. You can support KaraCroft's work by arranging a commission, purchasing something on their Red Bubble store page, or by subscribing to their Twitch channel.

In addition to artists inside the community, we were also approached by artists outside of our circles who had been impacted by recent events including:

Con.vuluted

Based in New Jersey, con.vuluted is a self-taught artist who specialises in character portraits. Her sketch prices start at $5, with a black and white portrait a little more expensive at $10.
