[November 24th 2020] When it comes to Lara Croft adventures on mobile, there's been a wave of new adventures in recent years. We've seen Tomb Raider 1 and 2 ported to Android and iOS devices by Realtech VR, "Lara Croft: Relic Run" developed by Simutronics, and "Lara Croft GO" by Square Enix Montréal. Now, we have a new title arriving for mobile gamers!
"Tomb Raider Reloaded" is an upcoming mobile title developed by Emerald City Games and published in-house by Square Enix Europe.
Taking inspiration from her earlier adventures, Lara is back with her classic look and dual pistols for this latest outing, with confirmed locations including St. Francis' Folly. For inspiration, the developers also looked towards other mobile games on the block, such as the incredibly-popular Archero.
The game promises to challenge the player with hoards of enemies, puzzles, and relic collecting. And it looks like it won't be too long before we'll get to play it! Recently, Square Enix has confirmed to PocketGamer.biz, that the game is currently undergoing a soft launch in Thailand and the Philippines on iOS and Android, but that they are expecting to roll out the game globally later in the year.
