Last week Crystal Dynamics announced a new partnership with Simutronics, who have been busy working on Lara's latest mobile adventure, Lara Croft: Relic Run. The title is currently being soft launched in the Netherlands on Apple devices, Windows 8 phone and Android, which is a common beta testing stage for tablet games. The data received from the players will go into fixing bugs and altering gameplay before it's released to an international audience.

If you're interested in learning what the gameplay is like Kelly, from The Archaeology of Tomb Raider, recently posted her review of the soft launched version of the game, check it out HERE.

The title is a fast paced action game with gameplay mechanics similar to Temple Run or Rock Runners, where the protagonist is constantly running and must avoid obstacles and traps. Through her adventure, Lara encounters new vehicles, puzzles and even a T-Rex

Yesterday (17th April 2015), Crystal answered a list of questions sent to them by fans. Lots of new information here and also some exciting teasers, so check it out below!

Q: "I play Temple Run from time to time and there is an in-game store to buy power-ups. Is there any in this game?"

A: In order to streamline the game experience on this platform, we have combined the inventory with an in-game shop. Items are available at all times and can be bought either with in-game credits which you can earn by playing, or by purchasing with real money. Players do not have to spend any money to have a complete game experience.

Q: "Will the game be launching worldwide in weeks? Months?"

A: We are currently in soft launch to test and make sure the game works perfectly for the user. Once we are happy with this we will launch globally, making sure we are giving players the best experience possible.

Q: "I would like to know if they will add Core Design's low-poly Lara like Crystal did on LCTOO as unlockable or bonus outfits?"

A: Nothing has been announced as of yet but we will have more news in the coming months.

Q: "Will my Galaxy S4 is going to be supported?"

A: Lara Croft: Relic Run is a high end mobile game so some older devices will not be supported as we couldn't guarantee a good player experience. We will support iPhone 4s and above. The S4 will be supported too.

Q: "What is the Curse system?"

A: The curse system is one of the many things unique to Lara Croft: Relic Run. Not only can you compete with your friends for high score, coins collected, distance etc. but you can also send curse to friends to ruin their run!

Q: "How long is Lara Croft: Relic Run?"

A: The game is infinite. Each time you play you will encounter a different experience with various diverse routes and hidden areas to uncover along the way.

Q: "What languages will be supported?"

A: Currently Lara Croft: Relic Run will support English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and Brazilian Portuguese at launch

Q: "Will you be remaking Tomb Raider II for the 20-year anniversary?"

A: The team at Crystal is fully dedicated to ensuring Rise of the Tomb Raider is the best game it can possibly be, and as such there isn't a remake of Tomb Raider II in the plans. That being said, we do have several very fun and diverse projects underway to celebrate two decades of Tomb Raider
