[March 2nd 2021] Throughout 2021, Crystal Dynamics is celebrating Tomb Raider's twenty-fifth anniversary by spotlighting each game with their own special month. Kickstarting the project in February was Lara's debut title from 1996! Throughout the four weeks, fans got treated to new artwork by Brenoch Adams, new articles, new puzzles, and new fan spotlights. Concluding the month-long celebration was an incredible hour-long interview with Shelley Blond and Natalie Cook!
Long-time fans may recognize the names as being the first voice actor and first model for Lara Croft who paved the way and raised the bar for other actors who later stepped up to the challenge. But for both actors, there wasn't a known Lara Croft for them to follow at the time. Shelley Blond was the first voice actor for Lara, but only provided her voice for the first game, with Judith Gibbins taking over for the sequel. Natalie Cook was the official model for Lara, and attended conventions and expos, setting a tradition of a new model for each release.
Back in February, both Natalie and Shelley sat down with Meagan Marie (Senior Community & Social Media) for an hour-long interview, where they answered community questions.
