Recently, Meagan Marie (Senior Community & Social Media Manager at Crystal Dynamics) and Neha Nair (Tomb Raider's Community & Social Media Manager) had the opportunity to sit down with three former Core Design developers to talk about Tomb Raider: The Last Revelations and Chronicles.

Joining Meagan and Neha was Andy Sandham (Level Designer & Scriptwriter) and Jerr O'Carroll (Character Modeler & Animator). They were joined later in the interview by Tom Scutt (Artificial Intelligence Programmer) who went back to tackle Tomb Raider questions sent in by fans.

.
Things were a little different for this interview. As well as having the addition of Neha on screen, the interview was also livestreamed on the Crystal Dynamics Twitch channel. In the past, these interviews were privately recorded. The change came as the result of the post-production times, as it can take a couple of weeks for the videos to be edited and subtitles collected. This time the developers wanted to do something a little different so that fans could hear the answers in real-time.

Similar to the previous interview, this one covers a number of games. As all three developers worked on both the fourth and fifth instalments, they celebrated both the May and June's spotlighted titles.

The interview lasts over ninety minutes and is packed with questions about designing challenging but approachable enemies, why Lara's notebook was scrapped in the menu, what it was like moving studios mid-development, and how the approach to development shifted. As always, there is also a community Q&A closing out the broadcast.
